 Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Visitor Centre, RAF Coningsby A Lancaster, five Spitfires, two Hurricanes and a Dakota can be viewed. The visitors centre comprises a permanent gallery which portrays many aspects of Lincolnshire's aviation history. You might also see the Red Arrows in the Lincolnshire sky, practising from their base at nearby RAF Scampton.

 Market Rasen Racecourse Horse racing with regular monthly meetings at this small but very popular and attractive course.
Football Teams Lincoln, Boston, Scunthorpe and Grimsby all have Nationwide Football league teams with regular fixtures at their modern stadiums.

Donnington-on-Bain (2.5 miles) Two general stores selling most things, bread, milk, eggs, papers, wine, canned foods, frozen foods etc.
 Horncastle (6 miles) Full range of shops, two supermarkets, chemists, Tourist Information Office, Post Office, antique shops, cycle hire, pubs and restaurants. Markets Thursday & Saturday.
Louth (8 miles) Larger than Horncastle with full range of shops, supermarkets, Post Office speciality bakers, butchers, delicatessens. Wide choice of restaurants and pubs serving good food. Cinema. Markets on Wednesday, Friday & Saturday.
Boston (25 miles) Very large shopping centre with department stores, many independent shops, pubs and restaurants. Excellent fishmongers.
 Lincoln (25 miles) The city has a very wide range of shops of all sizes from small interesting independent shops to large department stores. All the usual High Street names can be found in Lincoln. There are many fine places to eat around the Castle and Cathedral as well as round the Brayford Pool. County Hospital for emergencies including walk in Dental service.
