Directions for drivers

From The West (Lincoln)

From Lincoln take the A158 to Wragby, through the traffic lights at Wragby, onto Baumber. On leaving the village of Baumber, take first left, signposted Hemingby, then dogleg right and immediately left across the B1225, After driving through Hemingby, continue for a further 2.5 miles to a 'T' junction, where you will turn left to drop down into Goulceby. At the bottom of the hill turn right sign-posted Ford Way. Pass a red telephone box on the right: Goulceby Post is approx. 60 yds on your left.

Please pass in front of the property and around to our rear parking area.

From The South (A1)

Heading northwards along the A1, having passed by Stamford and Stretton, you will see a sign for Colsterworth. At that point you should be in the right-hand outside lane, prepared to filter, halt, and turn right ( across the oncoming traffic), in order to join B6403, signposted towards Cranwell and Ancaster. Following this road, which, being the old Roman Road Ermine St. is mainly straight -for approx.12 miles, brings you to traffic lights at Ancaster, where, you should turn right onto the A153. Stay with this A153, clockwise around Sleaford by-pass (briefly joining the A15 and A17 but eventually re-joining A153), thereafter through Anwick, Tattershall, Coningsby and Horncastle.

From the traffic lights at Horncastle, the A153 continues northward through the village of West Ashby, then along the South-North line of the Wolds for a further 3.25 miles where, immediately after a fairly sharp right-hand bend, you should take a left turn towards Goulceby. Follow this lane down to the village and, at the bottom of the hill, turn right, sign-posted Ford Way. Pass a red telephone box on the right: Goulceby Post is approx. 60 yds on your left. Please pass in front of the property and around to our rear parking area.

From the North (Louth)

From the Al6 Louth bypass, take the Al53 southwards towards Horncastle. This road winds along the North-South line of the Wolds until, shortly after passing Cadwell Park on your left, the road drops sharply down to pass by Scamblesby before inclining slightly upwards and to the left. Beware! ! ! The required Goulceby turn-off, to the right comes immediately after this bend. Follow that lane to a 'T' junction, turn right, then at the bottom right again, sign-posted Ford Way. Pass a red telephone box on your right, Goulceby Post is approx. 60 yds further along on your left hand side. Please pass in front of the property and around to our rear parking area.

From the North (Humber Bridge / M180)

From the A15/M180 Junction 5 Interchange follow signs for Barnetby le Wold and Bigby, where you will join the A1084 to Caistor. On leaving Caistor, take the B1225 southwards towards Horncastle and remain on this road (known locally as The Caistor High Street), crossing both the A631 and A157. Your turning for Goulceby is approx. 4.75 miles south of the A157 junction (The large steel mast on your left hand side is the Belmont TV transmitting antenna). Look for a lane to the left signposted Goulceby (don't worry if you miss the first turn, next left will do!). Follow this lane and signs for Goulceby for approx 1.5 miles, where you will see the village's small parish church to your right. Soon after passing this church take first right down Watery Lane, continue over a small bridge and keep left where the 'Three Horseshoes’ public house is off to your right, then left again at the next fork (signpost Ford Way). Pass a red telephone box on the right and Goulceby Post is approx. 60 yds further along on the left. Please pass in front of the property and around to our rear parking area.
